  1. I wondered how many of you just send a email version of your report vs. mailing a hard copy? I planned on doing both but seems like some in my area just email or post the report on a site. What do you think?
  2. I wondered if you could recommend a battery screwdriver that would be used to remove screws on electrical panels. I have a large pistol style driver that has plenty of power but I am trying to cut down on weight and bulk in my tool box. Sears has one that puts out 175 in / lbs but it is one speed and I think that will be a pain. Thanks>
  3. Thanks guys. That is kind of crazy. I don't think I would stand that high up either. Problem with the LG, or knock-offs, is the weight. I have a bad back and get around just fine but lifting a lot of weight get to me quick so I was hoping one of these 25 lb extenders would work for me.
  4. Can someone please explain how a ladder's extension height can be greater that the ladder's height? This is a statement that I don't understand: "the Telesteps 1800 automatically telescopes up or down from just 33"" to 14.5ft. in seconds to give you a convenient 18 ft. climbing height extension ladder..." So if the ladder is 14.5 ' tall, how can I climb 18 '?
  5. I'm sure this has been beaten to death but I can't figure out how to do a search - I don't see buttons anywhere. So, wanted to get a recommendation on a durable CO detector. Do you recommend a passive type or should I spend the extra money on one with a pump? Thanks!

  7. I'm in the process of starting my HI business and have been working with a local HI and noticed one problem that seems commom. I'll describe that one and wonder what other common issues there are. I'm trying to avoid issues that create problems if at all possible. Two houses this past month were vacant and neither had utilities turned on prior to the inspection. The inspector told the buyer's realtor to make sure everything would be on each time. The solution I came up with would be to contact the seller's realtor yourself and explain the importance and tell them of the insection date. What other common problems are there and what are some solutions?
