kimball gray
I found one AFCI in the service panel. It is listed as the Whirlpool tub. I put my hand dandy GFCI tester on the outlet where the tub is connected and nothing. Its grounded... I go to the panel and hit the test switch for the AFCI circuit and sure enough, the power is cut to the jetted tubs outlet. No other AFCI's listed in the panel. Not one for a bedroom. Home built in 2009. Is this proper? Is it working as designed? I have found other "issues" from this builder that is now out of business. Go Fig. You guessed it, Bank owns it now.... John Kogel
The AFCI breaker could be working fine, but the tub needs a GFCI. Shorting the hot to grnd with you 3-light won't trip an AFCI. Call for a repair by a qualified electrician. Have him check the whole place.

kurt
I've never seen a place with an obvious stupidity that didn't have a few more less obvious stupidities.
