CheckItOut
I'm sure this has been beaten to death but I can't figure out how to do a search - I don't see buttons anywhere. So, wanted to get a recommendation on a durable CO detector. Do you recommend a passive type or should I spend the extra money on one with a pump? Thanks! Brian G
It depends on what you're planning to do with it. If you only want to check for notable CO levels while you're inspecting a low-level passive is fine. If you want to check the CO output at a gas appliance vent hood you need the "pump & probe" type. Always recommend a low-level continuous monitor to clients with fuel-burning appliances & systems. That's the only meaningful CO protection there is. Brian G.
