Brandon Whitmore
Are there any manufacturers that allow the installation of granular coated modified bitumen roofing to be installed vertically (parallel to the rake) instead of horizontally (parallel to the eave)? msteger
I would imagine no as this would make it more prone for leakage at the seams, eh?
Erik
http://www.gaf.com/Content/Documents/6008.pdf depends on the slope.
Brandon Whitmore
Ahh. Thanks Erik So it looks like over 1/2" per foot, they require that it be installed perpendicular to the ridge-- good to know. Now I'll have to find out if that applies to torch down, or just cold applied methods.

Brandon Whitmore
Erik, I owe you one, oh, make that 2. Certainteed's directions were one of the sets I read. Don't ask me how I skipped right over the important part I was looking for. I think I'm slipping. Thanks.
