I also see it on the ceiling of my living room. We had a new roof put in about 6 years ago. It's a semi-flat roof. Could it be from the roof paper or the new wood put on first? kurt Posted July 28, 2012 Report Share Posted July 28, 2012 It could be a few things, with roof ooze, wood sap, or other construction related glop being likely. Is there a smoker in the house?
