I signed up for a similar service a while back because it was free. I got tons of emails but no business. Every email was "how much do you charge for a home inspection". I would respond it depends on the size and age of the home. Please send me some additional information about the listing and I would be happy to provide you with the cost for the inspection. No one ever responded. Now that I think about it maybe the emails were fake.
tdriscoll Posted November 7, 2015 Report Posted November 7, 2015 Thumbtack is not expanding into the Long Island, NY area and I have just started to get the lead emails for home inspections in my area. I will keep in touch and tell you if they turn into real inspection jobs. Thanks Tom

BrightsideHI Posted July 26, 2017 Report Posted July 26, 2017 It's definitely mostly price shoppers, and most of the inspectors using it are priced way too low, but if you have a solid sales letter as your response it can work.
