Rob Amaral Posted July 27 Report Posted July 27 Been rockin round New England since 1969.... Band I'm in is just about to release an album.. Both 'trades' keep me goin! https://thefathomsofficial.bandcamp.com/album/hard-to-fathom?fbclid=IwY2xjawLyxUdleHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETFLUDIzelhieXo5d2l6SlZwAR72pTZnF-DZaLHB4LV8ULvZKTJmCnqeUzVnFdttEyDsTbWnlnklbiYR36wUng_aem_EKgAAHBamCGiWZ_KR7B6kQ I'm doing a lot of rhythm guitar on this album and playing lead on two tunes I wrote ("Giddy Up" and "The Right One").
Bill Kibbel Posted August 5 Report Posted August 5 That's cool Rob. Great to see a group keep at it. I was in a band in the late 70s. 2 different bands in the 80s. Then the day job (career), wife and kids meant no more time for that stuff. 2 of the old band mates are still playing gigs.
Tom Raymond Posted August 15 Report Posted August 15 I gave it a listen. Good stuff. I know how much time that takes, my boy is a musician. He's heading out today for a music festival in Syracuse where he will be the sound engineer and also DJ a set of his own electronic music, one of many projects he has. He's been struggling for a week to get his setlist in order, his gear together, and his projects at the day job caught up enough to disappear for 3 days.
Rob Amaral Posted August 26 Author Report Posted August 26 I was 'hard at it' from 1969-1984..let's put it this way, the "The Cars' manager was my manager--twice! (Not all his projects took off!). Then 'life/marriage/kid/career' intervened. I started getting back in the music around 2002 or so.... It's been a great thing.. I started foolin' around with music in 1958. Home inspection saved me though (besides the 'Man upstairs') !
