Square D Recalls Switch for Electrocution Hazard

Washington, DC - Release #07-062

On December 15th, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the Square D Company of Palatine, IL, announced a voluntary recall of about 27,600 general duty safety switches. According to the manufacturer, consumers should stop using these switches immediately unless otherwise instructed.

Hazard: The safety switch can continue to supply electricity even after being placed in the “OFFâ€
