gtblum
This is an exhaust vent for a Vermont castings Dutch west gas stove. Could I have the minimum clearance for this? Click to Enlarge 36.48 KB
hausdok
Hi Gary, Was it on at the time of the inspection? If so, the amount of heat reaching the side of that building and that cable can't be a whole lot because the paint isn't blistered and the snow on top of the vent shroud isn't even fully melted. I see these in houses with vinyl siding all the time and the siding seems to do fine. That said, it looks like the shroud intrudes into the clear working space requirement for the meter; they probably should have taken it out that other wall to the right. ONE TEAM - ONE FIGHT!!! gtblum
Hi Mike, Was it on at the time of the inspection? Only when I operated it. That said, it looks like the shroud intrudes into the clear working space requirement for the meter; they probably should have taken it out that other wall to the right. It sure does. Thanks for pointing me in that direction. Unfortunately the wall to the right is the front of the house. YUK!
