setherichards
Hi there, I am in the process of adding a second, 3 piece bathroom in my house. I am planning on running the drain through floor, parallel to the joists. I have enough room for proper slope. Here is my layout. Does this look suitable? Marc
Plumbing ain't my forte but I thought that venting was not needed for toilets. [:-dunce] Marc

Marc
Plumbing ain't my forte but I thought that venting was not needed for toilets. [:-dunce] Marc Really? The size of the drain supplied to some toilets is big enough that a vent isn't needed. Right? Marc
John Kogel
Hi there, I am in the process of adding a second, 3 piece bathroom in my house. I am planning on running the drain through floor, parallel to the joists. I have enough room for proper slope. Here is my layout. Does this look suitable? Thanks I think you could run that drawing past the authority and see if he accepts that setup. I see no glaring problems there. Your drawing shows the tub/shower drain below the toilet drain, but that is because of the perspective, right? Tim Carter, the plumber and builder posts this drawing on his website. It is Tim's drawing, not mine. [] Click to Enlarge 17.75 KB http://www.askthebuilder.com/722_Rough- ... gram.shtml
