Rob Amaral Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 Parts of Boston look like Paris... This is the view from a rowhouse in the South End... Download Attachment: IMG_6866.JPG 92.93 KB
kurt Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 Another awesome shot; we get those big NW'ester's blowing out all the smog and bringing in cold dry air off the Canadian prairie....it gives us the same sort of dramatic sky against the city.
Rob Amaral Posted November 19, 2010 Author Report Posted November 19, 2010 Except ours are 'blowing in from Watertown' (a couple of miles west). Boston is a like a little architectural museum and is filled with all kinds of great architectural detail....
kurt Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 Yeah, we don't get the age; the oldest age on our stuff is about 138 years at most. Most of what I see that's "old" is only 120-ish. The 1871 Chicago Fire thing.......
Mike Lamb Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010 I'll guess you did some post production work on that pic and a good job at that. Great shot. It's got a hell of alot of potential.
Rob Amaral Posted November 20, 2010 Author Report Posted November 20, 2010 Mike.. no post-production.. just pointed/shot.. A Canon powershot cheapie.. (12.1 mega pixels). It was just a great scene... I've got a bunch more on Facebook .. The area that the shot was taken from was the "South End" of Boston... a former tidal estuary area of landfill and stink.. Jimmy M and I are lucky pups to be inspecting in such a great city.. A-Z up here and it sure keeps you on your toes..
