Brandon Whitmore
Anyone have a code cite showing the min. clearance requirement for an oil tank vent and fill pipe to a window/ door? If I find it first, I'll post up.......

Bill Kibbel
This was also covered in the discussion on a similar topic (that you started several months ago). https://www.inspectorsjournal.com/forum ... C_ID=14644
Brandon Whitmore
That pretty much seals it. I think I'm losing brain cells at a very quick pace. Alzheimers may kick in before I turn 40 at this rate. The scary thing is that I remembered it being 3'- probably due to the 3' requirements for nat. gas vents. I think that was the last time I inspected a house with an above ground fuel storage tank. On this inspection I got to write up the fact that the tank was within 7' of the burner-- a first for me.
