kurt
Got a customer (didn't do the inspection on this particular house) that called to ask why his lights "in two different rooms" briefly got much brighter, then back to normal. Any ideas?
Marc
Intermittently poor neutral connection. Something else will get less than full voltage at the same time. 120V appliances are sometimes involved. 240V appliances are not. hausdok
Check the neutrals at the panel to see if they are tight. I routinely find them loose and snug them up. Takes less time to do that than to write it up. Sometimes go back inside and someone says, "The lights in here were kind of dim. Now they're bright? What's up with that?" ONE TEAM - ONE FIGHT!!! John Dirks Jr
Found the same thing happening at an inspection. Although the neutrals were tight at the panel terminations, two of them were stuffed too far in and the wire insulation was crimped under the terminal screws.
