  1. Nice going, Ben! Look what you started. A painting contractor friend of mine, just happened to stop by the same afternoon you posted this. He's a Duration fan too. He likes to spray it. So now, some of the money put aside for a shiny new set of Cleveland irons, is going toward paint. I hate when my responsibilities take away from my priorities. At least the brother's discount will help. I'm getting fit for the new irons today anyway. After I get done with more scraping! Click to Enlarge 85.27 KB
  2. Man Gary, thats rough.[] Na, I was kidding with you. I've also had an eye opening experience with their prep right interior primer. The primer covered about a mile of new rock in one coat, and the bucket never emptied. You get what you pay for. It's good stuff.

  4. My Brother is a contractor rep for SW. I'll ask him if they can use you in their next commercial.
  5. Oh Crap! Sorry again. You mean like this? Click to Enlarge 46.05 KB Ok. I've got to save face here, or they'll pull my carpenters card. T111 is a 4x8 sheet version of this style of siding. It also has a tongue that fits a rabbet, and is an exterior grade plywood with a rough surface. How'd I do? LOL.

  7. Sorry guys, I should have added "style" or "type" Most of the time around here, it's done with rough cut hemlock, and sometimes with cedar. If done with those materials, It usually lasts quite a while. Here's the real deal next to T111 Click to Enlarge 58.72 KB Same house with a reversed application. 9. I've been a fly fisherman for more than twenty five years and I can't say I've ever heard those terms used. Interesting. Who's sponsoring this we can do it better than mother nature can, feat of engineering? T. U.? Are you guys rehabing a trout stream? Please say yes. Right now, I have plenty of time for fishing.
  10. Here's the deal. As of the last week of 2007, State serial numbers no longer use letters. 0904A021710 April 2009
  11. Where's it say that? I copied and pasted that code reference. Nothing mentioned about gas or electric.
  12. I just went through my picture files. Every State heater serial number starts with a letter just like our file says they should. Not in the middle of the number. As you can see in the picture, this one has a letter in the middle. I see them as often as any other around here. I'll take your word for it that it's eight years old. But before anyone decides I'm being a pain in the ass or nuts about this, it ain't the same as all of the rest. Why? Click to Enlarge 29.22 KB Click to Enlarge 38.03 KB Click to Enlarge 25.7 KB
  13. What month is 0 or O? My point was, O or 0 doesn't work. The last letter would have to be L; December. I busted a bunch of liars last month. I Just want to make sure these folks are being told the truth and I want to know why that number is different in case I run into it again. Screw it. I'm going to the golf course.
  14. Nice. Thanks. I'm going back.
  15. What month is 0 or O?
  16. That's why it's here. The pain in the ass is, I really need it this time. The buyer was told It's newish. Like one or two. I don't want to guess. I thought that too. Looks like I'm making a call in the morning. Thanks,

  21. Fire alarms.
  22. Lots of them. Everywhere you look. See how wet the spaces between the timbers are? We had a pretty big storm yesterday morning. Nothing I've read bothers to address drainage holes. I can understand why. There should be plenty of room for that where they're joined. I just hope they did the right thing behind the wall. (drainage)
  23. Are there specific requirements for spacing the dead man ties for these? I've seen recommendations for anywhere from four, to eight, to ten feet. These are at twelve. Click to Enlarge 79.67 KB Check out the one on the end. Click to Enlarge 90.12 KB

  25. Understood. It's about helping the client. I have an 08 manual and I can't find a thing about the roof size being factor, but the diagram for the kick out and flashing, is in almost every section.
