Mike Lamb
I did a job in the east Pullman neighborhood here in SE Chicago. I have read the neighborhood may become a national park. Mike Lamb
I inspected the rowhouse on the left. Built circa 1880's. Click to Enlarge 111.8 KB
Marc
Someday I'll shadow a Chicago inspector and see these magnificent houses. What I get here is nothing compared to them. Marc
Eric B
Mike, Are the first two photos of a "home" you inspected? I couldn't get paid enough to take on such a structure.

Gosh, no. That is the Hotel Florence. G. Pullman built it (and named it after his daughter) to house and entertain wealthy associates. Workers were not allowed anywhere near it back in the day. I know it was a restaurant and bar recently but it looks like it is under renovations.
