Mike Lamb Posted November 17, 2013 Report Posted November 17, 2013 I did a job in the east Pullman neighborhood here in SE Chicago. I have read the neighborhood may become a national park. Click to Enlarge 66.91 KB Click to Enlarge 50.48 KB Click to Enlarge 44.44 KB Click to Enlarge 65.09 KB

Marc Posted November 17, 2013 Report Posted November 17, 2013 Someday I'll shadow a Chicago inspector and see these magnificent houses. What I get here is nothing compared to them. Marc
Eric B Posted November 18, 2013 Report Posted November 18, 2013 Mike, Are the first two photos of a "home" you inspected? I couldn't get paid enough to take on such a structure.

That is the Hotel Florence. G. Pullman built it (and named it after his daughter) to house and entertain wealthy associates. Workers were not allowed anywhere near it back in the day. I know it was a restaurant and bar recently but it looks like it is under renovations.
