Tom Raymond
I'm far enough from the lake that the soil has turned from sand to clay.
Chad Fabry
Damp? Mine has a sloped floor with a swale cast in it. When Bought my house it had a dirt floor with a channel from one side to the other where the water exited through a tile below the foundation. Three seasons a year you could go fly fishing in my basement. We excavated, tiled and installed a concrete floor and , improved the grade outside. It's now dry enough to store stuff on the floor. Tom Raymond
I'm done digging. The floor is getting covered in delta and treated plywood this summer.
kurt
What do you think about Delta and putting a continuous duty fan on it ala radon reduction system? We did one like that where it was a soaker; it worked. I don't know if it was overkill, but it was effective. We thought about putting a miradrain mat on the wall and tying it all together, but then we couldn't get to the foundation for future "parging". So, we left the foundation bare. Tom Raymond
Why add a fan? I was thinking of turning the delta up the walls to the top of the benches. Air over water, it should drain fine. I can always add a dehumidifier if needed.
Marc
Would someone refresh my memory on what 'Delta' is? Marc
