Name That Supply Piping

I ran across some supply line today I haven't seen before. I think it's PEX, but I've only seen PEX in magazines.

Written on it: QEST C-PB2110 / ASTM D3309 / B137-8 / Potable Tubing

Some ends were fastened with a metal ring, some had fittings.

Can anyone confirm what this is for me?

Hi Brian,

Are you sure what you were looking at was PEX, as QEST was one on the infamous PolyButylene brands ?? Do you have any pics ??

Funny 2 others were answering at the same time, here's a hint if it was grey and leaking it's PB, if it's grey and about to leak it's still PB.

Hi,

It's polybutylene pipe. No if ands or buts about it. Zurn, owner of the Qest brand, does make QestPex pipe, but the PB2110 identifies it as polybutylene. Now that that is cleared up. Get the information you need from pbpipe.com.
