fqp25 Posted December 20, 2009 Report Share Posted December 20, 2009 Could not figure this out out. The catch basin is about 9 feet deep and this is about 4 feet tall from the bottom. It is capped and has what looks like 1" pipe going toward the house. I think the grease line has been circumvented into the city sewer and this could just be rain water sitting in the basin but just haven't seen this before. Is this how the basin would have drained? kurt Posted December 20, 2009 Report Share Posted December 20, 2009 Strange. Looked in thousands of catch basins, and never seen anything like that. As you know, they're pretty basic. Laundry and kitchen sink drains to the catch basin, simple brick wall or outflow tee. Someone was improvising in ways I can't figure out.
