motown1435
I inspected a new house today and noticed the air handler in the crawl space was not mounted to the floor joist, it was sitting off the ground on top of cinder blocks. Would this be acceptable. Click to Enlarge 59.42 KB
Tom Raymond
Call the manufacturer and ask them to email you the installation and service manuals for that model furnace. If you're lucky they may be available online. After you look up what you need, forward copies of both to your client. They'll appreciate the effort. Tom PS, if it looks wrong, it probably is. Any liquid-tech sensor to shut off the unit in case the condensate pump failed? The suction line is not insulated all the way to the unit and will drip in hot humid weather. It looks like the liquid line is rubbing up against the unit - refrigerant leaks in the future. I'm sure more could be found if inspecting it first hand.
