Rick Bunzel
I received a demand letter from Getty Images saying I infringed on one of their pictures and that I owe them $780.00 or they would take me to court. The letter was quite professional and included a screen shot of the image in question and my website. Interestingly the screen shot of my website did not include their image nor do we have their image on our site. It smell like a scam to me. Has anyone else had this happen to them? //Rick
Jim Morrison
I'll just need a bank-certified check for $780.00 before I can answer that.
Robert Jones
Was it a certified type letter? Have you tried to call them? I personally have never had this happen to me. Jim Katen
Jim, Interesting info. Good thing I didn't actually have one of their pics on my site! Unless you took every one of the pics with your camera, you might.
QualityHomeInspections
I received a letter as well. I was told by my webmaster that he would remove the pictures and then send the documentation to them. That was a year ago. Nothing ever happened.
