Denray
I believe this is the dishwasher drain. Small copper pipe into this thing. Is it configured right, etc.? Click to Enlarge 52 KB Thanks

Denray
Drain comes in low then out the top?
Marc
Yep. I thought dishwasher drains were supposed to be indirect though, like a washer standpipe. I've only seen the ones that empty into a sink tailpiece or disposer. Marc

John Kogel
The reducer and elbow fittings are prone to leaking, and the drum trap appears to be either reversed or upside down. The lid appears to be pointing up on that thing, so upside down. I would say it is an amateur installation prone to leaking and clogging. The standard way is the best, 3/4" line tapped into a 1 1/2 sink drain pipe. There is always air in that drainpipe, so that provides an air gap of sorts I guess.
