John Dirks Jr
When it come to laptop batteries, does one really have to get the expensive one from the computers manufacturer? How many of you have had good luck with other brands less expensive batteries? Which brand were you satisfied with?
Bryan
Just bought one from Batteries Plus. I believe it was a Rayovac, so far so good. It also comes with a one year warranty.
Nolan Kienitz
Miserable luck with an aftermarket battery pack for my Dell notebooks. I currently have 3 (work, Ham Radio and my wife's) and after one trial of an "aftermarket" product I went back to Dell OEM and have not had a hiccup since. Just my experience. Marc
I'm on my 3rd and 4th laptop in....I don't know, maybe 12 years. I buy the cheapest lithion ion battery I can find, but only lithion ion. No problems. Usual life expectancy regardless of the brand. Marc
kurt
I'm an OEM believer. Never had any decent service life with aftermarket brands. Usually, the mAh ratings are less on aftermarket batteries.
Rocon
Aftermarket batteries for my Sony Vaio last about 6-9 months. The original lasted 2 years.
