We have google on here and it has been on here from just about the beginning. The tagmanager, analytics and adsense are what's tracking you on TIJ. If you made a few posts on TIJ you don't see the ads but the other scripts still load. If you go to another page they load again. If you right click the screen in your browser on any website and select Inspect then select network tab and js and then refresh the page you will see all scripts loading. It's not a mystery to everyone. 4 domains... 3 are google and the other 1 is us. The whole cookie/privacy/consent thing is a mess right now. Billions are pumped into ads and people want to know where the ads are showing and that they are not wasting money. As for privacy, google wants you to sign in to do a search and annoys you with prompts until you do. Then claims to make privacy a big deal but only to you not to themselves and the trusted partners. Spammers cannot insert scripts into posts to track you... not on TIJ anyway. I gotta laugh though... complaining about tracking while reading your tracking report.

Didn't notice any errors after last update but there were a few. Sorry to anyone that got locked out. Cache was cleared and it's back to normal.

Here's an image of box in caretakers place. Hard to see but I see green and black wires going to rest of house on the ground block. The unshielded wire on the ground block is one of the hot leads. There's a shielded one tucked in beside the breaker that's not used. Looks like any three prong plug could cause serious issues or shock. Yikes!

I've done a ton of 3 phase work but houses are not my thing and I'm not sure what's considered normal down here LOL! Even in when working in Mexico 25 years ago I could get anything electrical in a day... this place is different. I found some even more ridiculous wiring issues yesterday... like using an unshielded ground for a hot lead... LOL... I have to laugh. That's what feeds the caretakers place... he has a small 2 breaker box that the ground is hot on. There's actually 2 shielded wires and an unshielded ground but they used one shielded and one unshielded. Nothing is really grounded so it sort of works LOL. I'm not sure how far a ground rod needs to be pounded in this type dry earth/rock to do anything either? Don't see one anywhere yet. I'm used to seeing a breaker or disconnect up top to turn it all off. Then the red, black and common on the lugs above. I honestly wasn't sure if you could feed the breaker backwards (60 amp) and that was something normally done here (in theory it would probably work). Maybe you don't need a main disconnect and you just switch all the breakers off? About 6 feet below box there's no#8 wiring connected to what looks like 14 or 16 that feeds into the panel. Looks like I have enough extra #8 wire to bring it into panel but no proper lugs or heavy shrink wrap. The wiring is probably twisted together and then taped (it could be soldered but haven't unwrapped it yet). I'm leaving Friday morning so don't know if I have time to fix it better (it will be 120 volt and not quite right for a while yet like everything else down here). My Spanglish is terrible so I have to take pictures off internet and then show them to the hardware store guys to try and get the parts. Anyway this doesn't keep me awake at night luckily as the buildings are all made of stone/brick/cement lmao. Everyone down here will tell you they can do something or they know somebody that can but only a few actually know how. For all I know it was one of these characters that are hanging out in our trees that did it.

We have flickering lights in the bathroom so I suspect a loose connection but thought I should open panel and have a look. Besides the 4 inch lizard hiding in there I see a couple things that don't make too much sense. Long story but we only have 120 volt going into panel. Not sure which wires those are yet as I have no tools here to check either (bought a screwdriver and vicegrips lol). But think it's the one side of 60 amp breaker. Then jumped back to other side on the lugs. Not the typical panel I'm used to seeing (industrial 3 phase). I believe the 30 amp breaker goes to where the air conditioner should go when we finally get 220 volts into house (not hooked up yet). Not sure who hooked it up... any insights... as it will remain on 120 volt for a while still. Thanks,

Had to upgrade php version for latest forum update. I guess I had old version open still. Site looked like it was there but nothing worked. Fixed again.

Thanks everyone! We went with Mike's suggestion in the end. It's taking some time to measure and cut each piece of the GPS but it seems to be working better than I thought it might! Much appreciated!

Thanks guys much appreciated! The plans say R28 which I haven't installed yet... but starting to think from reading that maybe the spray foam is a much better alternative?

Got another question about the vapor barrier in our car port/workshop. I'm putting in R28 insulation and was thinking of putting a layer of GPS over that and then covering with a soffit material. 2 x 10 I-Joists. Really not sure if this should be covered in poly with acoustic sealer or not? There seems to be a few different opinions on how this should be done including the insulation. Any advise would be helpful.

New software does a great job of blocking the link drop now... before it happens. I guess we will still have to deal with pre-drop BS posts that don't realize the links are going to get automatically blocked and never see the light of day. We probably should delete the pre-drops... they are so obvious LOL!

Thanks for the tips! The top detector is about 2 inches off top and we only have about 2 ft. of flat ceiling down the center. Makes sense it gets concentrated in the center rather than spread out on a flat ceiling. I think one of the alarms is the ionization style also. Worked okay until we got the gas stove.

We have a high cathedral ceiling with one in the center and one on main floor in hallway. They are wired together. Cooking on little back burners is fine but the front sets it off all time.

Thanks Jim! Long story but putting in a remote blower with 20ft of duct because of new addition. Gas stove was constantly setting off fire alarm... noise etc.

It's for our range hood and has a 5 inch now and I would like to put in an 8 inch. 2 x 12 is behind boards in pic. How much are you allowed to take out of the 2 x 12 rim joist for the second floor?

I would take to appliance repair shop and try and match up with replacement dryer coils (I'm no home inspector though).

I meant of the dark mode screen. Software support has asked for it and may fix it.

There was a new default theme created and I have not created new ones based on it yet. Scroll to bottom of page and click themes. Make sure it's set to default and not TIJ. If there's still a problem let me know. Michael

Recent software update to Version 4.5. Many changes to theme made us revert back to default theme for the time being. Will make up custom theme from new default theme asap. You're welcome! Managed to find some time to make some speed improvements. Gzip compression, caching and lazy loading images should speed things up a little. I have few more updates coming also that will also add some speed improvements in the next couple days.
