  1. Hope everyone is having a good weekend.
  2. With Ken. It's a photocell.
  3. Kurt, I wouldn't think you'd have a problem. Windows 10 runs cleaner than the old systems that tended to bog down. At least that has been my experience.
  4. It's possible, but, more than likely the tree was dropped prior to the home being built. Are there any strange cracks at the stem wall in the area of the stump? I would be more concerned with wood destroying insects that may nest in that stump.
  5. Well played Jim, well played.
  6. While you are educating yourself about the issues with FPE panel's, learn about Zinsco/Sylvania panel's as well. Both should always be recommended for replacement.
  7. I replaced the stem/valve.
  8. No need to apologize Morgan, I fixed it.
  9. Is that like too much cowbell? Thanks for the reply.
  10. Plumbing guru's a question. The handheld shower on the right, began making a God awful "screaming" noise last night and eventually, the water just shut's off. A little bit of vibration right before the water shut's off. Copper plumbing. Is it an issue with the valve? The valve on the left, for the rain head, work's normal. Click to Enlarge 32.07 KB
  11. I have seen this in both attic and crawl space cavities. I didn't notice any issue(s) with the operation of the furnace(s).
  12. Well, yeah. I am assuming that there wasn't a register in the bedroom.
  13. In reading that, I don't see how single heater, in a living room for example, can provide that required temp to all room's. The design of the home, may prevent this. I have always called out a bedroom missing a heat source.
  14. It's junk that should be replaced.
  15. It's being caused by condensation due to poor ventilation. Basically an acidic reaction with the galvanized flue material.
  16. I have to agree with the comments about ACC. I have been using their services for almost 2 year's. I avg between 40-50 inspection's per month. Between the ACC fee, and the ISN fee, I pay about $1500 a month. My agreement gets sent automatically when the inspection is booked. I literally don't have contact with the client, until the day of the inspection. It's cheaper than actually having an employee doing the same thing every day. I know I have picked up business simply because someone is answering the phone.
  17. I second the hardboard siding.
  18. Possibly a manufacturer defect?
  19. Alright guy's. Ran into a HVAC system that I have not seen before. Believe it is a Lendell although one of the other stickers states, Allstyle. This is a condo, built in 1998. Has a sprinkler system installed. Anyone familiar with this brand? Click to Enlarge 41.49 KB Click to Enlarge 54.12 KB Click to Enlarge 36.63 KB
  20. Thanks guys.
  21. No apparent issues Kurt. Was hot for a 60 degree day, but, that was it.
  22. This one is bugging me. Three year old home. The roofer cut roof vents at both sides of the ridge. There are soffit vents as well. Am I wrong in thinking, that the roof vents, will pretty much vent back and forth, in that limited area? My description may be tough to read/understand. The pics should explain better;) Simple gable roof. Click to Enlarge 54.31 KB Click to Enlarge 52.03 KB
