Had this just outside the backyard.

Developer couldn't touch it because of historical preservation, but it doesn't look like anybody is in the process of preserving it. Money doesn't grow on trees for such things, I guess.

Leaving my mark on history, Ben. Sharp eyes. Most people never notice it. Though it does kind of stand out on this one.

Kurt, don't really know. Based on others I've seen around here, 150 - 200 years.

I wonder what was going on along that wall on the left. The old roof line looks like it was curved and the grade is different? Sad that it will sit until it falls down, then we all will lament the "loss".

Don't know, Les. Probably an old kitchen addition or porch that no longer exists.

Remember that, at least around here in that time period, the servant (slave) areas (kitchens, laundry, quarters, etc) were always a step or two lower than the owners areas. Though I did do one down in Richmond, KY a couple of years ago that had the servant quarters up in the attic area through a back stair case.
