Terence McCann Posted May 19, 2009 Report Share Posted May 19, 2009 I was watching this mornings news and there was a story about Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs. The home owner got a call from a neighbor, while his family was at Sunday brunch, telling him his home was on fire. The investigation reveled that the compact fluorescent light was the cause of the fire. The home owner installed the light on a fixture that had a dimmer and this light has a warning on the box stating not to install them in this fashion. There are CFL's that can be on a dimmer but not this one. I was not aware of this however it will be something I'll look at now as I go through a home.
