Neal Lewis
A four inch long piece of the flue baffle thingy broke off and landed on the gas burner. I removed the piece of metal. Any effect, other than maybe a little less efficient? It's a 14 year old water heater, anyway.

fqp25
I would think if "thingys" are breaking off, it would be time to replace.
