mridgeelk
Does anyone know the brand name of this post and its rating. It is carrying about 8650# of load per post. There was no ID of any kind on the posts. I did note the flaky installation. And, just for the fun of it a new, at least to me, use for vinyl siding scrap. mridgeelk
I just found the posts at Home Depot, they are well within their rating. The clue was that all the exterior doors had 2x4 jambs even though they were set in 2x6 walls. Home Depot sells only 2x4 jambed exterior doors. Bill Kibbel
I've seen black coated short jacks, with the carriage bolts, manufactured by Akron Products. Was I right?
mridgeelk
The Home Depot posts are Tiger brand. It sounds suspiciously Chinese not like from Ohio. Mike Lamb
Tiger Brand is in PA. http://www.tigerbrandjackpost.com/ I have called them before and they were very nice and helpful. That post in your picture can probably carry over 14,000 lbs.
