  1. Looking at the setscrew looks like it was tightened. It looks more like a short happened at the lug.
  2. Yeah, but the hole is too big. Heck, at least they used one.
  3. You haven't made a phone call since 1961? Wow.
  4. Tinned copper has rubber insulation, typically with a metal sheath. Aluminum will have thermoplastic insulation and a plastic sheath.
  5. Those cracks look to be in the sec heading down to the meter socket based on the larger size. If so they would be customer supplied and not the POCO's responsibility.
  6. FWIW I have never even seen NM damaged under the sink. Also AC cable has the same installation restrictions as NM and cannot be installed where subject to damage.
  7. Most panels already have a 2 hour rating. I would like to know what code section that was cited.
  8. UF was not always gray. I have seen white UF also. Side note, pools require an insulated ground so UF cannot be used.
  9. This is a straight 240 volt receptacle, not a 120/240 that would have 2 hots, a neutral and a ground.
  10. Was the wall framed with 2x6 with the triple 2x4 in between?
  11. Saw it yesterday.
  12. See you have the siding on. Now for the doors.
  13. You should be able to get some extra light just by pulling the yellow vehicle into the garage. I can't remember if that is the Vette or the Dodge truck.
  14. The panel lugs should be listed for use with AL or CU. I have never seen any that were not dual rated.
  15. Conduits exposed to difference in temperature areas are required to be sealed to prevent the air exchange.
  16. And I am not there to do an inspection on the property that someone has already paid for. The HO is not going to pay for another one and if I did they would wonder why they paid for the first one when I come up with all the things that were missed.
  17. Required lockouts should not be removed. They are there for safety when the equipment is being worked on.
  18. All that effort to do it wrong when a single pole switch would have worked.
  19. If the MC was installed in place of NM due to physical damage concerns the MC did nothing to make it any better. MC has the same restrictions on physical damage as NM. With that said, I do not consider inside a cabinet to be subject to damage.
  20. Wouldn't a 'plug and cord' arrangement be even cheaper? Marc A cord and plug is going to be way more than $10 pullout disconnect. Also as JK says the WH is not listed for use with flex cord.
  21. An AC pullout disconnect would be cheaper than the switch.
  22. Correct JL, I was thought I was clear when I said the bond for the CSST occurred by the connection on the black steel, not the CSST.
  23. The CSST is bonded by the connection to the steel. There is not an additional bond to the CSST.
  24. That looks like the braided ground from the SER cable
  25. Looks like it falls under the 6 throws or less rule.
