I took this photo a few days ago as I was traveling. Yes, it is a lead pipe. It was used to supply a town in Italy. This was a branch water supply pipe for Pompei. The houses also had clay pipes for indoor toilets throughout the town which led to a large septic field. The town was destroyed in 79ad and excavation began in the 1870's. Google Drywood Termite Frass Carpenter ants sometimes attack termite infestations. The last photo looks like carpenter ant damage except for the frass.
