Rob Amaral
There was a period there when all windows were temporary replaced with painted-black plywood.. .we called it the plywood palace during that period (late 70's? early 80's?) The building was twisting just enough to mess up the windows and they would pop out. A massive dynamic damper system was installed up high within the building that corrected the problem (as did a new type of window). The view from the observation deck up there is great if you can get in. I believe it may be closed (since 9-11-01)?

John Kogel
I noticed that in your larger shot, a different shade of blue in the reflection. Much nicer than black plywood.
Jim Morrison
The observation deck is still closed. I tried to take my younguns there a few months back. My grandfather took me to there as soon as it opened. It was a very memorable afternoon and he died a few months later.
