I think that serial number is just sequential. It probably doesn't contain any meaningful data. Unfortunately, I just snapped a few photos of the data plate thinking I could find further info. at home......never tried to figure out its age until I got home. The house was built in '87, and the unit wasn't much newer. A note on the tag stated that if there were any questions to make sure and call in with the model and serial number.
