mridgeelk
Is this an improper installation of electric baseboard? The wall is 15 to 20 degrees out of plumb. It is on the inside of a mansard Click to Enlarge 30.57 KBexterior wall. The home is thirty years old with no apparent problem. Thanks for any response. Richard Moore
As long as that is drywall (not fiberboard) I would have no issue with the 15 to 20° for a basic electric baseboard heater.
Bain
I don't think there are any specific rules that govern this situation, but wouldn't having the heat angled toward the floor be the primary concern, rather than what the heater was mounted on? Clearly the carpet hasn't combusted yet, but I'd hate to receive a phone call and learn that the bloody thing caught fire.
Brandon Whitmore
I don't see it as an issue.
Terence McCann
I don't see an issue with it either, the heat will rise just fine. As an aside, electric baseboard heat is best placed under windows (if there were any).
