Chuckles from today.

You'll enjoy the pics.

Also had a 900 sq ft addition - no permits were ever pulled. The home owner did most of the work himself.

Also, they had vented the dryer through the roof (as part of the new addition). I wouldn't think the little dryer fan has enough static for that kind of push (ranch style home). I checked our state codes, based on IRC, and there wasn't anything about not doing this (I had always thought sidewall though). I stated that it wasn't correct anyway, they used a flue vent cap that you might find on a furnace flue, no back-draft damper etc. Also, I wouldn't imagine that the manufacture wants it vented up.

Don't you wish that our reporting standards included a provision for using a big rubber stamp that says "POS", and simply mashing it in bright red ink on a cover letter w/ the address of the property?

Not very informative, but to the point.

Well, at least you can blame it on the homeowner! These are from a $1M custom new build I did yesterday. I'm just showing you some highlights, the list is endless...

Dontcha just love the way "professional builders" gripe about home inspectors who don't know their ass from their elbow, yet they have to go to the proctologist to get their teeth cleaned because their heads are stuck so far up their bums?

Bet this guy is one.

ONE TEAM - ONE FIGHT!!!

Hope these work. They are fun to look at. I have them on my screen saver.

I thought it was some kind of old insulation until I picked up a handfull and then I didn't want to believe it.

There were two of these piles and no insulation anywhere else. What about the fire streaking?

Lets see, Spout extension was cool, I didn't notice the absent access, I couldn't get close enough to the fuse box to find the ground, so where was the GFCI?
