rbaake
Anyone familiar with dating Armstrong HVAC products (I believe they are a division of Lennox) although the dating codes don't seem to follow Lennox's strange standards! Unit is an "through the wall" package system in a one bedroom hotel/condo conversion, gas fired. Model: 64HWC182-2 Serial: A-10573JNA Ansi number of 1990 Thank You
hspinnler
October 1992. The last set of letters in serial number indicate the following in order: First letter - month, Second letter - year, Third letter - place of manufacture. Date Code, letter "J" corresponds to October. Year code, letter "N" corresponds to 1992
rbaake
Hank, thank you...I just sent out the report saying " from the ANSI provided I would estimate system dates from the mid nineties" Seller told my client HVAC was replaced in 05...did not believe it either, hence the post. sepefrio
I've never dated an Armstrong myself, but I did date a Ruud once. She just wasn't nice.
