  1. That's beautiful.
  2. "The garage receptacle tested as open ground..." 🥸
  3. I gave it a listen. Good stuff. I know how much time that takes, my boy is a musician. He's heading out today for a music festival in Syracuse where he will be the sound engineer and also DJ a set of his own electronic music, one of many projects he has. He's been struggling for a week to get his setlist in order, his gear together, and his projects at the day job caught up enough to disappear for 3 days.
  4. Generic replacement. Right specs, wrong mounts. Zip ties are the professional version of duct tape.
  5. I recommend replacement, then ask if I can have it. I have an outbuilding that needs a panel and I wouldn't mind if it burned down.
  6. Yes, they're stupid. They cost five times as much as a gas water heater, and three times a conventional electric one. They only work under ideal conditions, and conditions are never ideal, so they are wildly inefficient. Albany's reckless energy policies are incentivizing heat pumps as the technology of our all electric future. Our mechanical code requires resistance heat backup for every heat pump installation because they don't work in our severe climate. Total cost of ownership, I'll stick with the gas heater. Even factoring for a six year service life, it's more hot water, faster, for a fraction of the price.
  7. Hire an electrician.
  8. It's not the framing that's moving. You most likely have mesh taped seams. They always crack.
  9. AI isn't artificial intelligence, it's open source intelligence. It sucks because none of us are as dumb as all of us.
  10. It will be less labor intensive to remove and replace the window.
  11. Not America. We only make hamburgers here.
  12. Godammit! Now I'm going to have to build one.
  13. You run a ground wire from the terminal on the receptacle to a green bonding screw in one of the holes in the back of the box. Not from Chicago.😎
  14. If I'm not too late... Shannon Gatewood https://satxinspector.com/?fbclid=IwAR0Seu5BtuXClEDCvjlZgDa8O0ZeQk74OmOvNJZIfhNw8l4I30tjrhnQ_Qk
  15. I use fat cow. It's dirt cheap. $19/year for domain rent, $120/year for hosting, email server, and WordPress. Near zero customer service, but I get what I paid for.
  16. Buy it flowers, pay it compliments, and ask real nice. (Insert rim shot here)
  17. Why are you beating a seven year old dead horse? Nobody ever paid any attention to these morons.
  18. Isn't the purpose of licensing for consumer protection? Guess that's not important anymore.
  19. Tell them you'll give them a logo coffee mug instead. It'll represent your business, it'll last longer, and they'll enjoy using it. For the same money it's a much better value.
  20. Ceramic tile? It's inconsistent contact with the thinset causing the hot spots visible in the image. No hot spot, no thinset.
  21. It's a desiccant strip. It's there to absorb water vapor trapped at assembly. It appears completely desiccated. While largely cosmetic, some of the better manufacturers will warranty it.
  22. Les, my brother-in-law lives in what was his grandparent's house. Grandpa put Z brick in the kitchen for the backsplash.
  23. I agree with Bill, and will add the product most commonly used here in WNY was PermaStone.
  24. There is a 60s development nearby that has 100 houses on 200' circle lots with the remainder being common area. In the early 2000s the HOA decided to update the surveys to GPS. They halted after 18 lots were done and only 3 homes were within their 200' circles.
