Robert Jones
I am hoping someone can shed some light on aluminum roofing for me. This particular one seems to be coated with granules, so a little new to me. Resembles a composition shingle except it is metal below. vilson
Hi, Aluminium roofs look great on nearly every style of home. This appearance is further enhances by the fact that aluminum roof panels come in many different styles including cedar, slate, and standing seam. Aluminum roof shingles can also be found in numerous colors. Most metal types of roofing are light weight, durable, and then tend to have a lifespan of up to fifty years. Aluminum roofs are environmentally friendly too, which means that they'll fit in with your current lifestyle. The drawbacks include the fact that metal roofing is hard to install, it can be expensive, and it might need a few paint touch-ups now and again. John Kogel
Hey Robert, and anyone else. Bring your magnetic up with you when you check the roof, no question if it's steel. [:-graduat Steel is a bit heavier and will rust if the surface is damaged, so you want to ID it if you can. Otherwise, when you're not sure, it is "metal", anyway.
