Robert Jones
Home built in 1925. All window frames and "exposed surfaces on the exterior were sprayed with this "texture". I was told that it is under the vinyl siding as well. Guessing asbestos. Does it have a name? Les
Rob, I think the time line will be a little suspect. ie: the electrical stuff shown is not original and it was in place when the bldg was "sprayed". I don't know of any reason to splatter spray asbestos on bldg exterior.
Scottpat
Looks like a spray on stucco finish coat.
John Kogel
There is a brand name for that stuff - like durocoat or durok or something like that. [?] Yes, it could have been applied a couple of years ago, no way to be sure.
Wasden
Could it be "Tex-cote"? Is it like a rubber coating? It was supposed to be better than paint. Tex-cote was sprayed on every school bungalow in So Cal that I went to (1960's-70's) and everyone peeled off. I don't know why but it was all the same color too, pale puke pink. Incredibly they are still in business.
