Jerry Simon
Anyone ever see one of these? Purpose/reason for? Thanks. Image Insert: 116.19 KB
Brian G
Weird. I definitely haven't seen one of those before. It only makes sense to me for locations where you might have trouble reading the meter straight on, but then there are the required clearances for that sort of thing. Very odd. Brian G. Les
we see that configuration often. mostly meters that are scanned or row houses.
AHI in AR
Not uncommon around here on homes with rear services and fenced yards. The meter reader can simply stick his head around the corner rather than having to enter the yard and deal with Princess, the killer Chihuahua. Billy_Bob
Actually that is two separate things there. The meter and a 90 degree adapter. The 90 degree adapter just makes the meter point to a direction where it is easier to read. Or maybe from a location where the meter reader does not need to contend with Fido. Anyone can have a 90 degree adapter installed. Just call the electric company and ask for one.
