Tom Raymond
Thought some of you might get a kick out of this central A/C added to a house with hydronic baseboard. Click to Enlarge 53.1 KB Click to Enlarge 50.21 KB It was Hubby's toy and he's been gone 6 years or so, the Missus has run it maybe twice since then. emalernee
Cardboard boxes with foam, fiberglass, and duct tape, two squirrel cage blowers (one from a 51 Hudson Hornet, the other from the 53 Packard Clipper Sedan that's sitting on blocks in the back yard), a transformer from the kid's Lionel train set to run and adjust the speed of the blowers. He later added a hot plate to deice the condenser because he kept forgetting to turn up the speed to the blowers. That's my guess.
