  1. You should definitely do that Jimmy. I'd give everything I own to be able to have just one more beer with my dad. I'm right there with ya Ben!
  2. That liquid might be the oil that sparky uses to help pull the wires through the conduit. I've seen it many times and rubbed it between my fingers to confirm it.
  3. And no tail switch issue 'cause it don't got one! It's a badass light.
  4. I was driving to the Sox game a couple of weeks ago with some buddies, and I was so low on gas that I needed to pump a bit more in so we could make the round trip. But we were running a little late and I didn’t want to take the time for a complete refill. I noticed a station ahead on my right and stated to my buddies “I’m going to stop and just put $5.00 inâ€
  5. Still pissed, eh? Just for backing the wrong horse my friend.
  6. I've been happy with the Powerex I use in my Fenix. Hey Jerry - Wanna buy some ultrastinger bulbs? Reeeeal cheap!
  7. I heard it too, a couple of weeks ago.
  8. Yes, otherwise it won't adhere to the substrate. My Prediction: Installation will be less than perfect and voids will be left between the insulation and roof sheathing. Those voids will allow condensate to occur causing more of the closed cell to delaminate and rot the sheathing. This of course will not be observable until it is becomes widespread...maybe. Even if the installation is perfect, how are they going to stop the moisture content of the sheathing from elevating, when the exterior side of it doesn't have a vapor barrier on it? It could become the successor to EIFS if it becomes popular enough. Maybe it will perform better in a dry climate.
  9. The claims are that it is supposed to work, but I don't personally believe it...yet.
  10. The air barrier will stop/reduce the air from passing through. But without a vapor barrier, the moisture will still drive through it. Gemini - what kind of foam was installed in your attic?
  11. I thought that only applies to closed cell.
  12. Look like storage areas to me.
  13. That 2nd photo really looks like an aftermarket window film to me. Any chance it is?
  14. I signed up for it.
  15. Looks like foot traffic to me.
  16. I've seen that setup on sailboats before.
  17. There's gotta be some reason! I would have guessed lead service entry pipe...but maybe I'm just projecting.[]
  18. Bafoonery! If the damn thing was leaking they wouldn't need an HI to tell 'em. They could just look up.
  19. I've made recommendations before that I cannot support with any written code. My favorite is the receptacle mounted to the bottom of the kitchen sink base cabinet. It's permitted but stupid and water always ends up there, either from a leak or dripping handsprayer or stored cleaning product containers that leak. Not all of the childproofing stuff is in the code books. Actually most of it isn't. I would do the same as you on this one Jerry.
  20. I agree with Jim
  21. Standard Mod Bit sheets are manufactured by pulling scrims of fiberglass and/or polyester mats through molten bitumen, coating the scrim with the bitumen. After it cools it is trimmed to the manufacturers’ thickness specifications. Typical overall thickness is 3/16â€
  22. From the pics all I could say is: 1) Over torched at the seams. Don't really want to see more than 1/4" of bleed out. 2) No perimeter edge metal. This roof will blow off or up enough to allow water entry. 1+2 = Amateur work. I'm sure I could find more if I could walk on it. Call a professional to fix or replace it.
  23. [:-thumbu][:-thumbu][:-thumbu][:-thumbu][:-thumbu]
  24. I see cages all the time on the south and west side. I don't get many jobs in those 'hoods, but that doesn't surprise me one bit.
