I've got a Bosch too, but it's apparently not the super-duper model with a light to let the totally clueless know that it's running. Bosch D/W's aren't THAT quiet. Unless you are an octagenarian or older, I suspect you'll hear it running. I suspect it's a marketing gimmick. (It is kinda cool, though.)
