I suppose that's good, as the unit should be blowing cold air in, not out.
Marc
I would start by confirming that the compressor is running. Marc

Mark P
Sounds like you need a repair man or a new AC.
Scottpat
Time to buy a new one! The repair will most likely exceed the cost of a new unit....
Marc
When i turn it own the compressor shuts off after few seconds. Sounds like the compressor is failing to start. It draws an overload for a few seconds until the compressor speed comes up to normal. If, for any reason, it cannot start then the overload trip within the hermetic unit will trip, opening the circuit and removing power to avoid damage. One common reason for a 'fail to start' in a relatively new unit is a defective 'start capacitor' which is replaceable. Also, sometimes the connections to the capacitor are loose or damaged. Ask someone with experience in electrical or AC's to check it out. It's not an expensive part. Marc
