JohnC
In a small crawl today a few locations of the front sill had a white chalk like substance no wood damage at all, nice dry space. Client worried about what else mold. Anyone seen this before, I do not think it is a big deal but thought I would post a couple of photos. Mike Lamb
Could be boric acid to combat bugs. Or lime powder to absorb odors and moisture. Or Baby powder to prevent diaper rash. Purlite? Not likely. If it tastes like chicken, it could be powder for a gravy mix. Or mold. Just kidding. Smack your client in the head with a Nerf flashlight for thinking mold in a nice, dry crawlspace. I'd write that you don't know what it is and that the sellers should identify it.
