Scottpat
This is from a phase inspection today and I'm not sure what to say about this loop in the waste line. I can see a much easier path that should have been taken and I really do not understand why they made a huge loop. Any thought, ideas or recommendations would be very helpful. Chad Fabry
Plumbing by John Sousa? Aside from the loop, the wyes and ells tees should not be lying on their sides. It's a mess.

Trent Tarter
I would say that drains have been poorly designed and have substandard drain configuration. Drains take unnecessary bends and turns, may be more prone to clogging.
Scottpat
I agree it is a mess, it reminded me a Rube Goldberg design!
brric
Plumbing by John Sousa? Aside from the loop, the wyes and ells tees should not be lying on their sides. It's a mess. I am curious. Exactly how would you install wyes, ells and tees?[?]
Jim Baird
Wyes can go on their sides, but not san tees. Btw I don't see any tees in the pic. I agree that it looks circuitous, but do not have enough info to second guess a plumber. Maybe he billed per linear foot of pipe.
plummen
Plumbing by John Sousa? Aside from the loop, the wyes and ells tees should not be lying on their sides. It's a mess. A wye can be laid on its back or side,a san tee cant be though. I have no clue what the loop was about ,Unless theyre charging by the foot/fitting.[]

Scottpat
Is there a vent hiding in there somewhere for that P-trap? No, it was not vented?.. The buyer was able to get the mess corrected.

Garry Sorrells
The apprentice plumber was told that he were being paid as piece work on this job. So they thought the more pieces yields more pay for the day job.
DavidAranowski
What a said excuse for a job. I can't believe these people are still in business. Seems as if someone with no sense of proper plumbing did the job for you, and elongated the process nevertheless.
