fqp25
I would think it is, and treat it like it was, until tested. Frank

Bill Kibbel
Hey Jason, Yes, it contains asbestos. I'm pretty sure it's J-M's Air Cell.
Jim Katen
Originally posted by NJinspector Does this look like asbestos insualtion? That's certainly asbestos. I don't seen any need to test it. Les
I agree, except I did have my ego deflated a couple of times when I reported it as asbestos and none was found. I likely still would respond just like Jim, Steve and Bill with a caveat that I personally have seen J-M air cell with cardboard and plaster of paris. Frank's response seems more better! Both times I was wrong the material had a newer style narrow pull strap and gauze rather than cheesecloth fabric. I have since learned, from an older fart pipe fitter, there was a product used in the oil industry that did not contain asbestos. No facts, no references, no citations, just conversation. CaoimhÃn P. Connell
Good morning, All ââ¬â That is ââ¬â as several of you have pointed out ââ¬â corrugated air-cell. Based on the photo alone, I would be willing to bet $500 it is ACM. A have supervised the removal of MILES of the stuff. It is notorious in the asbestos abatement industry, and a bane for Industrial Hygienists because it is so difficult to ââ¬Åwetâ⬠
