  1. Those exterior panels may remove easily yes?
  2. I was wondering what's going on with the step flashing. It looks peeled up at the bottom.
  3. Looks like new cement. Could there have been another system up against it at one point. I have not worked around steam for awhile but if the Bell and Gosset valve malfunctions I would think it should shutdown.
  4. So with tax ,about one dollar a square foot.
  5. Steve in Illinois we are not allowed to use the term negotiate.Big trouble. You come across as concerned for the client, but also sound as if you are defending yourself. I have a little speech I love to use about how no place is perfect and I got the excerpt from Mike as a reprint from Carson Dunlop. Though he gets bashed a little on this forum it is a good expectation piece. I know you use Horizon so maybe Mike could do another reprint for us.
  6. I am getting error messages IE needs to close when attempting download. With laptops going down under $400.00 is there a price advantage in building?
  7. Download Attachment: peelandseal.jpg 11.1 KB How much does it cost.? Aluminum isn't cheap.
  8. Looks to also be near a ridge vent.
  9. Thanks Kurt. As far as off site storage goes I have checked on several of them and found that most offer up to 1 gig free, however when researching a little I found that you need to make sure the site stays in business.(choose a big name) I can look it up later but two of the good ones on reviews from the Chicago sun Times are Box.net and omnidrive.com. I will check out mozy as I never saw that one. Aol is the one to avoid from what I read as they have little support.
  10. Good subject for me as well. I have been using Horizon and they store for you but now I am developing my own system and may get away from them. (though it is a great looking report) Back to subject I have no office background and would like a comment on two things. Goggle has a free program called Docs and Spreadsheets. Would this be a good way to store my reports and client info? Also ,I have begun storing on discs my reports however was wondering about jump drives (those little USB thingies) are they good for this as I am told they store much more. Perhaps I am better off to buy an external hard drive as mentioned above.
  11. Sorry I forgot to put (lol).I was being sarcastic. From what I have read this happens when they forget to factor in the air space between the brick and underlayment. As far as how much needs support I think it is 3/4 rather than 2/3 of the brick.
  12. Thats ok the brick ties will hold it up.Think they remembered the moisture barrier?
  13. So it is all ornament and just sitting,or is it somehow attached to the flat roof.?
  14. The very fact it is being debated says to er on the side of safety. In three months it will be required anyway.
  15. The panel must be rated for a wet location. I like the blue tie wrap (nice touch).
  16. Gary I went back installing internet and telephone for the cable company a couple of days a week since the last post.(Dead August but getting busy now) and I am suprised by the number of Apple PC's I am seeing. Vista may be the great undoing of Microsoft.
  17. Due to my dead August I went back to Comcast part time and found a suprising number of subs (customers)buying Macs. Microsoft has really screwed up. I also have been testing office 2007.Yes I know (behind the times).Open office is free and better from what I can tell.

    NFL 2007

After what they did to the Bears ,you had to see it coming. The game with San Diego has a good sub-plot,as some members of the defense are not happy with the way they are being portrayed on the Madden Football game commercial as giving up an 80 yard touchdown to a Running Back.
  19. Not drinking, but began seeing pretty colors around streetlights when I licked this off the wall behind that section. Image Insert: 28.51 KB Does it matter that it was daytime? Seriously though,I did find it a strange location for the joint and mold was all over the bottom 18 inches of drywall in the middle of the garden unit. My client is moving to the third floor, but I could not resist entering the open door in the name of looking for the main water shutoff. P.S Les thanks for the link. Scott what about Bob? should have been the standard response I was not sure if that window location was allowed, and how important the expansion joint is at this later stage of construction. That mold is either from an open set of windows during last weeks storm or the lack of expansion joints as far as I can tell.
  20. What is wrong here? Image Insert: 67.87 KB
  21. Well, it sure is not your fault.
  22. Mike I do not see a price on the site, though I did not try looking to hard. My question is with all the free online storage sites available, why consider paying for this? I ask because my laptop is a couple of years old now. P.S I will hate being forced to give up my XP
  23. Link was not going through.
