  2. That is a undercabinet heater typically used under kitchen cabinets. In this case it appears your homeowner is trying to heat the basement with it. Was the fan hooked up? not really a problem, just evidence of a diy'er gone wild. Did it work? Was there a chair under it, with piles of tabacco on the floor?
  3. By the way, call them anyway and ask them about the lifetime warranty on the heat exchanger.
  4. I bet the broker asked you "well, is it leaking"? That roof is the same age as the house and my guess would be somewhere around 30 years.
  5. yes, you forgot to mention Walmart Inspectizizzle
  6. Download Homegauge for free at www.homegauge.com so you can see what paying for it gets you. ALOT!!! It is worth every penny as far as I am concerned.
  7. I have seen indoor oil tanks leak and fill the basement with oil. Unless the slab is jack hammered out anmd contaminated soil removed the oil smell lasts forever. A tank that is sweating oil at the bottom or even dripping slightly should not be talken lightly and should be replaced. Somtimes you see a fiberglass patch at the bottom. That tank requires replacmnent also as patching is not allowed.
  8. Maybe the mexican sound man installed a speaker in there.
  9. What came first. The corpse or the foundation? Looks like they built the foundation after the planting.

  13. A tool is a tool, a fool is a fool. Anyone who thinks thay can start up in this business without kissing a little realtor a$$ is sadly mistaken.
  14. the patch marks may be more visible than the nails FYI. And the warranty on the roof will be aaffected by the improper install. Googl the name of the shingles and look up their installation guide. Then print it and give it to your roofer before he rips it all off and starts again.

  21. yes, unfortunately for the painter, that panel is compromised and will have to be cleaned or replaced. E3304.6 Integrity of electrical equipment. 22. never seen that but sure wold be nice if all buried tanks were labeled in that way. If the house was old enough for one i would note it in the report.
