Jim Katen
Is this correct? How can all these wires be properly grounded? Code reference? This is the first time I have seen this. 110.3(B) Listed or labelled gizmos have to be installed in accordance with their listing or labelling instructions. That split bolt is listed. I guarantee that its instructions don't say to install 47 bajillion wires in it. The snap on EMT clamp isn't being used properly either. - Jim Katen, Oregon
Neal Lewis
How is that bonded to the enclosure?
tbird
How is that bonded to the enclosure? The heavy gauge wire is attached to the terminal bar and then of course, the emt clamp.

Chad Fabry
a municipal inspector would never pass that ground Maybe not where you live. We have a guy that barks out what's wrong from the front seat of his Cadillac that has his name on the plates. The reason he stays in his car is he's literally too fat to walk around a building site. Climbing a ladder or inspecting footings hasn't happened since he gained the last 250 lbs. For builders in his jurisdiction the only hurdle is to make the parts of the house that can be seen from the car look compliant. The builders know it and I wish I was exaggerating. John Dirks Jr
Are those caps just turned the wrong way (90 degrees)? Why are they lifted at the ends? I have not seen that before.
Jim Katen
Are those caps just turned the wrong way (90 degrees)? Why are they lifted at the ends? I have not seen that before. Those are accessory ridge caps. They're not lifted, they come with a thickened leading edge so that they'll look like that. - Jim Katen, Oregon
Tom Raymond
I vote that Jim K participate in the next code rewrite. 110.3(B) Listed or labelled gizmos have to be installed in accordance with their listing or labelling instructions. That is pretty damned hard to misinterpret. Tom
