    Seen a bunch of lead flashings chewed up by squirrels. Though it seems to take longer than it takes for the rubber ones to dry rot.

    Just about the time you thought you'd seen it all! I've seen manufactured houses with almost that set up but the blower door is usually full of louvers to allow air flow.

    Perhaps the guard rail? What makes you think something has to be wrong with it?

    Sounds like sewer gas may be getting back into the house. Have the plumber check the venting or see if there is an open pipe somewhere, perhaps a dried out trap with no water in it.

    When Momma is cooking Thanksgiving dinner and using all the burners and the oven at the same time, a breaker tripping or wire overheating can be a big inconvenience.

    You're actually supposed to use an extended tip lighter to light it, not throw a match on top of it, though I guess a match thrown on top would probably also work. This video will educate you about fireplaces with fireglass. Well, I was going to link a YouTube video about H Burners and fireglass but keep getting a 403 Forbidden error when I do so.     Pictures? Sounds like water running down the steeper pitch is getting up under the shingles on the low slope, past the flashing. Consider a W flashing to eliminate that.

    I don't see it as an explosion risk, just sewer gas stinking up the bathroom. May depend on which way the wind is blowing.

    Good point, now that you mention it. There was no satellite dish on the roof and no place that looked like there had been one mounted. Likely removed when the last roof was put on.
